    Preparing Your Baby Monitor Default Settings The first time you turn on the parent and baby units, they are operating with default settings. Adjustments can be made. Please see corresponding sections in this manual for instructions.   • Page 12 Battery operation 1. The baby unit runs on 4 pcs 1.5V AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries (not included). Please use alkaline batteries for best performance. 2. Do NOT use rechargeable batteries, as the baby unit does not have a charging function. 3. Place 4 pcs 1.5V AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries into the baby unit’s battery compartment, noting the + and - configuration.
