Connect SAS cable to internal SAS port

IMPORTANT:
This section describes how to install the tape drive on HP ProLiant and non-HP SAS servers. You may
damage your server configuration, if you follow the wrong installation instructions. Use the section
titles to ensure the instructions are valid for your cabling configuration option.

Option 2: Connect cable to spare port on host SAS controller or host HBA

The following instructions apply to some HP ProLiant servers. They are valid ONLY IF the host SAS
controller on your server has a spare SAS connector. Always refer to
connectBEFORE installing your tape drive.
IMPORTANT:
This installation uses one of the recommended HP Infiniband or mini-SAS cables to connect to an
internal port on the host SAS controller or the new HBA. It requires a spare PCI slot to accommodate
the cable supplied with the tape drive. It does not modify your existing SAS configuration.
NOTE:
These instructions are also valid IF you have installed a new HBA and it has ONLY internal SAS
connectors. Install the new HBA and its driver before you start the SAS cabling.
