The operator of the pump is therefore subject to the statutory occupational safety obligations. In addition to the safety instructions in this manual, the safety, occupational safety and environmental protection regulations applicable to the area of application of the pump must be observed.

Unauthorised or uncontrolled restarting can result in serious injuries or even death. During all work on the system: Ensure that the system is secured against unauthorised or uncontrolled restarting.
  • Page 12 Safety Safe workplace Incompatible cleaning agents ATTENTION Material damage due to incompatible cleaning agents! Incompatible cleaning agents can damage the surfaces and destroy seals. Only use cleaning agents that are compatible with the surfaces and sealing materials, preferably neutral agents. Before cleaning, check and ensure that the cleaning agents are compatible with the installed components and seals.

If unqualified personnel carry out work on the pump or are in the danger area of the pump, dangers arise which can cause serious injuries and considerable material damage to the system.
  • Page 17 Dismantling Checking the dismantling location 4.2 Checking the dismantling location Checking the minimum removal length ensures that the mechanical seal can be replaced on-site. The mechanical seal can be replaced on-site in the pump assembly or separately in a workshop. Prerequisites for on-site dismantling If the mechanical seal should be replaced on-site, the removal length must be checked.

To avoid confusion during assembly, disassembled components and parts, such as gear wheels, bushings or set collars, are labelled immediately. A mix-up can lead to material damage.
