Ensure that main power to the equipment being serviced
is off.
Ensure that the main fuel supply valve to the boiler is
closed.
Take precautions to avoid accidental activation of power
or fuel during service work.
Do not perform service work on any component part
without ensuring safe operation of the heating system.
When replacing parts, use original Viessmann or
Viessmann approved replacement parts.
Refer to the Installation and Service
Instructions applicable to this boiler.
Following our regular maintenance requirements is
essential to achieve the proper function and performance
of the Viessmann Inox-Radial heat exchanger.
IMPORTANT
Do not use a brush to clean out loose deposits. Brushing
will push the deposits into the spaces between the coils
and could solidify there. The use of additional cleaning
agents is normally not necessary as they could negatively
effect the stainless steel surfaces and clog the spaces
between the coils.
Cleaning the heating surface
1. Vacuum any loose debris from the heat exchanger area.
2. Extremely clogged heat exchanger openings may be
cleaned using the cleaning tool. Gently clean between
the raised spacers of the heat exchanger coils (as
shown).
3. Rinse the heat exchanger area with water.
CAUTION
When rinsing the heat exchanger with water, ensure that
no water makes contact with the controls below.
4. Flush out the condensate trap and condensate drain.
5. Rinse the heat exchanger area with water again.
6. Ensure that the condensate trap is filled with water.
