Predisposizione IDONEITÀ DEI RIVELATORI IN RELAZIONE AL LUOGO DI INSTALLAZIONE Nel caso di utilizzo in aree con pericolo di esplosione si deve verificare che il del sito rivelatore sia idoneo alla classificazione della zona ed alle caratteristiche delle di installazione sostanze infiammabili presenti sull’impianto.

  • Page 14 EN60079-29-1:2016. Nella Figura 2 seguente viene riportato il tipico collegamento di un rilevatore SMART3G-GrI ad una centrale di controllo. Si evidenzia che, nel caso di centrali con ingresso 4-20 mA, è possibile collegare un solo rilevatore a ciascun ingresso.

Manutenzione Le verifiche e la manutenzione dei rivelatori in versione antideflagrante devono essere effettuate da personale esperto secondo i criteri della norma EN 60079-17. MANUTENZIONE PREVENTIVA Nei paesi della Comunità Europea, le prove di funzionamento in gas e le procedure di taratura dei rivelatori di gas sono richieste dalle normative in vigore e definiti dalla norma EN IEC 60079-29-2.

  • Page 27 SMART3G-Grl P. 27/42 2. Certifications SMART3G-GrI series gas detectors meet the essential health and safety requi- rements in accordance with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU. The gas detectors of the ST series have been designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres due to the presence of gas, vapour, mist and dust, clas- sified as zone 1 or zone 2 (or zone 21 or 22 when the dust cover is applied) ac- cording to EN 60079-10-1 and EN 60079-10-2 classification.

  • Page 32 It is recommended to ensure that the control units are cer- tified in compliance with the EN60079-29-1: 2016 standards. Figure 2 shows the connection of a SMART3G-GrI detector to a control panel. Control panels accepting 4-20 mA input signals allow the connection of only one detector per input.
  • Page 33 P. 33/42 RS485 SERIAL OUTPUT CONNECTION (OPTIONAL) To connect SMART3G-GrI gas detectors to RS485 bus lines, it is necessary to have the RS485 interface model STS/IDI plugged in the detectors. The connection of SMART3G-GrI to RS485 bus lines should be performed by using a 4-wire cable, 1 pair for the RS485 bus and 1 pair for the power supply.

Testing and use POWER ON When the detector is powered on, the red LED on the base board starts blinking at slow intermittence. Output current is approximately 1.5 mA. After one minute, the red LED flash rate is equivalent to the detector working status (see table in paragraph 6.3) and the output current is 4.0 mA.
