rated
at
a
maximum continuous
current
capacity of 167 a-c amperes, or 40,000 watts
(40.0 kW) of power. Any attempt to connect e-
lectrical loads to the unit in excess of 175
a-c amperes (42,000 watts) will cause the
breaker to trip open.
CAUTION!
The
main
circuit
breaker
may
be
reset
to its CLOSED position manually. If the
breaker trips OPEN repeatedly, check
that
connected electrical loads are within the
unit's current and wattage capacity. A short-
ed electrical load that is connected to the
generator may also cause the breaker to OPEN.
NEVER ATTEMPT TO HOLD THE BREAKER AT ITS
CLOSED POSITION WHILE ELECTRICAL LOADS ARE
CONNECTED, OR DAMAGE TO THE GENERATOR MAY RE-
SULT.

PANEL
RECEPTACLES
(Figure 2-2)
Use this "duplex" or "dual" receptacle to
power 120 volts, single phase, 60 hertz, a-c
electrical
loads.
Each
120
volts a- c
receptacle may be used to power loads requir-
ing up to 15 a-c amperes of current or up to
1800 watts (1.8 kW) of power.
2.6- 1. 5 AMPERE CIRCUIT
BREAKERS
(Figure 2-2)
These circuit breakers protect the dual 120
volts a-e panel receptacle against overload
in excess of 15 a-c amperes (1800 watts). The
breakers are of the "Push to Reset" type.

CAUTION!
NEVER hold either of the 15 ampere circuit
breakers in with electrical loads connected
to the dual 120 volts receptacle, or damage
to the unit may result.

VOLTMETER
(Figure 2-2)
Also see Paragraph 1.4 (Page 4). Use the
VOLTMETER
as
a
visual
indication
that
generator operating speed, a-c frequency and
a-c voltage are correct. DO NOT connect any
electrical loads to the generator until the
VOLTMETER
reads 120 volts. After connecting
electrical loads, the indicated voltage may
drop slightly.
If
this
happens, adjust
tractor speed slowly until the meter again
indicates 120 volts.
DANGER!
A high voltage reading means that tractor PTO
drive speed and a-c frequency are also high.
A low voltage reading indicates a low PTO
drive speed and a-c frequency. Operate this
equipment only at 120 indicated volts. High
voltages and drive speeds are dangerous and
may result in personal injury or damage to e-
quipment
and/or
property.
If
voltage and
drive speed are excessively low, adequate
horsepower may not be available for generator
operation. In addition, some electrical de-
vices may be damaged by incorrect voltage
and/or frequency.

MODULAR CONNECTOR
ACCESS DOOR
(Figure 2-2)
Also see Section 3.6. One method of supplying
the full 40,000 watt (40.0 kW) capacity of
the unit to connected loads by means of a
single outlet is to use the modular connector
inside this access door. Parts for a
mating
connector (minus wiring cables) are shipped
loose with the generator, must be
assembled
and connected to suitable, approved wiring.
When properly assembled and connected, the
Modular Connector may be used to supply 120
and/or 240 volts, single phase, 60 hertz a-c
power to selected electrical loads.
