SECTION 1 - GENERAL
1.1- PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF MANUAL
This OWNER'S MANUAL has been prepared especi-
ally for the purpose of familiarizing person-
nel with the installation, preparation before
use, operation and servicing of the applicab-
le equipment. Study the Manual carefully and
comply with all instructions. This will help
prevent accident or damage to equipment that
might be caused by carelessness, improper
procedures or incorrect application.
Every effort has been expended to ensure that
the
contents of
this
Manual
are
both
accurate and current. However, the manufact-
urer reserves the right to change, alter or
otherwise improve his product at any time
without prior notice.
Some information in this Manual may pertain
to details, accessories or attachments that
may not be included with or are different
from your unit.
1.2- SAFETY

1.3- EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION (Figure 1-1)
This equipment is a revolving field a-c
generator, designed
for
the purpose of
supplying electrical
power
to selected
electrical loads when driven at the recommen-
ded speed by a tractor power takeoff (PTO)
shaft capable of delivering adequate horse-
power. The generator may be used to power 120
and/or 240 volts, single phase, 60 hertz, a-c
electrical devices requiring up to 40,000
watts (40.0 kW) of power for continuous
operation. Electrical loads requiring up to
333 a-c amperes of current at 120 volts or up
to 167 a-c amperes at 240 volts may be
powered by the unit.
