Installation Guide
TroveXX enclosures accommodate a variety of Altronix backplanes which support access controllers and accessories from the industry's leading manufacturers,
along with Altronix power distribution. These enclosures have no knockouts or venting holes for use in applications such as federal and military installations.
A variety of backplanes offer a wide range of scalable access and power configurations. Trove simplifies board layout and wire management, while reducing
installation and labor costs.
Environmental:
• Humidity and Temperature conditions: 93%, +/-2% @ 32ºC +/-2ºC.
Battery Backup:
• Trove1XX enclosure accommodates up to two (2) 12VDC/7AH batteries.
• Trove2XX enclosure accommodates up to four (4) 12VDC/12AH batteries.
• Trove3XX enclosure accommodates up to four (4) 12VDC/12AH batteries.
Additional Features:
• 16 Gauge enclosure without knockouts or venting holes.
1. Mark and predrill holes in the wall to line up with the top two/three keyholes in the enclosure. Install two/three
upper fasteners and screws in the wall with the screw heads protruding. Place the enclosure's upper keyholes
over the two/three upper screws; level and secure. Mark the position of the lower holes. Remove the enclosure.
Drill the lower holes and install the two/three fasteners. Place the enclosure's upper keyholes over the two/three
upper screws. Install the two/three lower screws and make sure to tighten all screws
(refer to enclosure drawings pages 2-4).
2. Mount included UL Listed tamper switch (Altronix Model TS112 or equivalent) in desired location, opposite hinge.
Slide the tamper switch bracket onto the edge of the enclosure approximately 2" from the right side (Fig. 1, pg. 2).
Connect tamper switch wiring to the Access Control Panel input or the appropriate UL Listed reporting device.
To activate alarm signal open the door of the enclosure.
3. Mount all necessary modules and sub-assemblies on a backplane before installing it in the enclosure.
