    SPECIFICATIONS FOR THIS SCALE GENERAL ® The Health o meter Professional Digital Chair Scale uses highly sophisticated microprocessor technology. This precision instrument is designed to provide accurate, reliable and repeatable weight measurements by providing features that make the weighing process simple, fast and convenient. Weight is displayed in kilograms or pounds. The scale includes a seat with arm supports, and a footstool that can be folded up for easy entry/exit.

The Pelstar, LLC quality assurance system covers the development, production, sales and service of medical scales and measuring systems.
  • Page 6 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS To avoid damaging the 2595KL when unpacking it, do not use a box cutter, knife, scissors or any sharp object when opening the protective inner packaging. If damage is found, ® contact your shipper or a Health o meter Professional representative immediately.
  • Page 7 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Note: Do not attach the AC adapter until scale is fully assembled. Caution: It is recommended that the assembly be performed by two persons. Remove the scale from the carton and place on a flat, level, and dry surface. Pull forward on the handrail to tip the scale over, and gently place it face down on the floor.

    POWERING THE SCALE The scale may be operated by an AC adapter (included), or by 6 C-cell batteries (not included). Plug the AC adapter into the power adapter jack (the jack is located on the rear of the display head), then plug the scale’s AC adapter into the power source. Note: Do not plug the scale into a power source until the scale is fully assembled.

    SET UP INSTRUCTIONS To enter the Options mode, push and hold the UNIT button while pressing and releasing the button. Auto Off Function When powering the scale via the AC adapter, the display can be set to power off after a period of inactivity.
  • Page 10 SET UP INSTRUCTIONS Setting Sound Options The display can be set to stay silent or beep while operating the scale. The default setting for Sound is “enabled”. Follow this procedure to enable or disable sound. 1. While the scale is turned off, press and hold UNIT then press and release the button.
  • Page 11 SET UP INSTRUCTIONS Setting Auto Zero This option allows the user to select whether the scale will re-set itself to ZERO each time it is powered up or whether it will use the zero reading from the last time it was zeroed. The auto zero default setting is “enabled”.
  • Page 12 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Keypad DESCRIPTION FUNCTION / REWEIGH Powers scale on and off. Allows repeated weighing of the patient while remaining on the scale. ZERO/TARE Zeroes out or tares the scale prior to a weighing. HOLD/RELEASE Holds the displayed weight until the button is pressed again to release the value.
  • Page 13 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Zero Function Zeroes the scale prior to a weight measurement. The ZERO/TARE button is also used in the Tare function outlined below. Tare Function When using this scale, the weight of an object, such as a portable oxygen tank, can be subtracted from the total weight in order to determine the weight of the patient alone.

    MAINTENANCE GENERAL This section provides instructions for maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting for the 2595KL Digital Chair Scale. Maintenance operations other than those described in this section should be performed by qualified service personnel. MAINTENANCE Before first use and after periods of non-use, check the scale for proper operation and function. If the scale does not operate correctly, refer to qualified service personnel.

    CALIBRATION PROCEDURE Your scale has been factory calibrated and does not require calibration prior to use. There are no requirements for calibration in the field; users should adhere to their institution’s calibration policies. If required, the scale can be calibrated. 200lb or 80 kg of certified weight is required for calibration.
