Power Supply Connection
The MTDEVAL consumes up to 1.6 A, depending on the TEC current. For this reason, it cannot
be powered via the USB connection.
There are two alternative ways to power the MTDEVAL:
1. Thorlabs GmbH recommends to use the power supply TPS101. Connect it to the MTDEVAL
using the jack 2 in above figure.
2. Any external DC power supply that delivers (5 ± 0.25) V DC and at least 1.6 A
(recommended: 2 A) can be connected to the terminal 1. Take care for correct poling.
Do NOT use both power supplies at the same time - this will damage the MTDEVAL!
