    Getting started Getting started Windows Preparing your computer Make sure you have all the software installed on your VR-ready computer to run the VIVE Hub services you've installed. § Make sure the computer GPU driver is up-to-date. § Connect your computer directly to your Wi-Fi router using an Ethernet cable. Make sure the SteamVR software has been downloaded and launched to complete the installation.

  • Page 11 Getting started Connecting VIVE Focus Vision to your computer using the VIVE Wired Streaming Kit Take advantage of the stability and bandwidth of a DisplayPort connection when performing a wired streaming session with VIVE Focus Vision. § DisplayPort mode using the VIVE Wired Streaming Kit is only supported on VIVE Focus Vision.
  • Page 12 Getting started You can also use the VIVE Focus Vision power adapter to power the converter. Plug the cable of the power adapter into the circular port on the converter. Connect the converter to your computer's DisplayPort and USB Type-A ports using the converter cables.

Fasten both hook-and-loop cable wraps behind the built-in speaker. Make sure to fasten them with the fuzzy side out to avoid tangling with hair.

    Getting started macOS Installing VIVE Hub Install VIVE Hub on your computer so you can use VIVE Desk on your headset. On your computer's web browser, go to https://www.vive.com/vive-hub/download/. Click Download for macOS to download the VIVE Hub DMG file to your computer. Open the VIVE Hub DMG file.

    Using VIVE Streaming Using VIVE Streaming About VIVE Streaming VIVE Streaming lets you stream, wirelessly or through a USB cable, SteamVR-compatible titles ™ from your computer directly to your headset. This includes VIVEPORT titles. VR content is generated on the computer, and then sent to the headset, turning your standalone headset into a top-notch PC VR headset.

When scanning the QR code, make sure you're facing straight at your monitor and not at an angle. If you're having trouble scanning the QR code, you can check if the pairing code below the QR code matches the pairing code in the headset.

    VIVE Streaming FAQs The audio sounds broken and there's a lot of noise. What should I do? In the Windows Control Panel, go to the Sound settings and check the Playback tab. Make sure that Oculus Virtual Audio Device is not set as the default device. The sound in the headset stutters and sounds distorted and garbled.
