1. Introduction The Meijer Holland Flintstone bale collector is designed to be attached behind a baler in order to collect two straw or hay bales at a time. The Flintstone is mechanically powered by the force of the big baler. This manual provides an overview of all the aspects that have to be kept in mind, before, during and after the use of the machine. -

3. Safety precautions The following precautions are important to prevent injuries and damages. Read the manual before use. Only experts should (dis)mount the collector to the vehicle. Only experts should operate the collector. Use the collector only for bales. Do not stand on the bale collector or the roller conveyor – this is dangerous! Mount the platform according to the instructions (chapter 6). -

4. The functioning of the bale collector The collector can only work if it is correctly mounted behind the baler with the supplied platform. ▪ The first bale slides over the platform and tilts into the collector, pushing down the spring- loaded roller bottom. -

Check if the bale collector is undamaged and in good condition on delivery. Please contact Meijer Holland if you notice any damages or missing parts. Only use the collector only if it is found to be in good order and after this manual has been read. - Page 9 5.2 Adjustment 5.2.1 Spring tailgate Adjust the spring so that the tailgate, after unloading the bales, folds back into the locked position. Too tight adjustment of the spring can cause the valve to close too early when passing the bales. It is also possible that the valve will lock too hard, causing it to not lock properly.

7. Maintenance Regular maintenance extends the life span of the collector. Maintenance schedule Before every use Check the bale collector for damages and wear. Replace damaged or worn parts. At least once a week Clean the collector of caked dirt and dust. When using a high-pressure washer, avoid the electrical parts. -

The bale collector is composed of several moveable parts. Repair or replace the damaged or worn parts immediately. Spare parts are available at Meijer Holland. ▪ Turn off the baler and the vehicle when you are fixing one of the following problems. -
