16 • Fit the 2 side inserts of the bonnet in their
respective slots in the chassis, as shown in the
figure.
17 • Assemble the bonnet by inserting the hinge into
the dedicated slot on the chassis (1) and secure it
using the screw provided (2) (b). Rotate hood
closed and turn black latch with coin to secure.
18 • Press the 2 identical central headlights into place
paying attention to the 3 respective slots.
19 • Proceed to mount the remaining 2 side
headlights. Caution! The 2 headlights are not
identical: check the direction of insertion into the
slots.
20 • Press the side inserts into place on the body.
21 • Unscrew the knobs on the bottom of the seat.
22 • Line the seat up with the two holes on the seat
support.
23 • The seat can be adjusted to 2 positions to suit
the height of the child (see figure).
24 • After adjusting the seat, tighten the 2 knobs that
hold it in place.
25 • Insert front green seat support fingers into
chassis.
26 • Put the seat support back in position on the
chassis of the tractor, and screw in place with the
2 screws provided (c).
27 • Attach the headlights by pressing from the
bottom upwards.
28 • Install left & right black plastic covers into "C"
slots on each rear fender.
29 • Install 2 AA batteries in FM radio (through door
on back side)
30 • Attach radio to tractor; insert 2 fingers on radio
into the slots in the chassis beneath the steering
column. Secure with a screw (d).
31 • Press the ring nut into place under the steering
wheel and the cap.
32 • Push the steering column through the bottom of
the tractor to the upper part of the body.
33 • Hold the column in place and slip the steering
wheel onto it.
34 • Fasten the steering wheel with its screw and nut
(e), being careful to insert the screw into the
circular hole and to screw the nut onto the
hexagonal part.
35/6•Place exhaust stack into bracket and secure with
long screw (f ).
37 • Attach the trailer to the tractor as follows: insert
the trailer coupling into the opening on the back
of the tractor, and rotate it (see fig. 38).
38 • Position 1: the trailer can be removed.
Position 2: the trailer is locked into place.
WARNING: The trailer will hold a load weighing
up to 10 kg.
39 • Open hood by turning black latch with 90
degrees with a coin. Rotate hood forward to
open.
40 • Connect the battery plug to the electrical system.
41 • Close again the cab by repositioning the hook, as
done above.

RADIO CONTROL DRIVE MODE

USED BY ADULTS ONLY.
WARNING: THE RADIO CONTROL IS NOT A
TOY. KEEP IT OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN!
WARNING: THE RADIO CONTROL MUST NOT,
UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, BE CONSIDERED A
SAFETY DEVICE AND CANNOT IN ANY WAY
REPLACE THE SUPERVISION OF AN ADULT AND
THE NEED TO BE CLOSE TO THE TOY IN CASE OF
DANGER.
- Insert 2 AAA 1.5V batteries into the radio
control device (to be purchased separately).
- Make sure the selector switch in the battery
compartment is set to RADIO CONTROL
DRIVE ("RC") - fig. 45.
42 • Press the "M" button on the radio control device
for 2 - 4 seconds, until the light flashes. Press the
ON/OFF key near the gearstick to activate the
vehicle (the key will light up).
The radio control light will go from flashing to
steady if the frequency has been paired
successfully. If the connection is unsuccessful and
the lights continue to flash, remove the batteries
from the radio control device and repeat the
same steps (this operation is only necessary for
the first use, or after the batteries of the vehicle
or the radio control device have been replaced).
- After the radio control device has been inactive
for 10 seconds, the light will switch off in standby
mode.
43 • Description of the radio control buttons
- Arrows: indicate the direction of movement
- "S" button: used to select the three speeds;
press repeatedly to select speed.
- "P" button: emergency brake; press to stop the
vehicle and press again to restart it.
44 • SEATBELT. Adjust the belt according to your
child's height. To release the seatbelt, press the
sides of the hook and pull.
MANUAL DRIVE MODE
45 • To change over from RADIO CONTROL DRIVE
MODE to MANUAL DRIVE MODE, switch the
selector to "MANUAL". With this setting, the
vehicle will move exclusively in MANUAL mode.
46 • GEAR SHIFT LEVER. The vehicle has 3 speeds.
ATTENTION: when the vehicle is taken out of
the packing, it runs only in first gear and reverse
gear. To use the second speed, follow the
instructions in figure 47.
47 • Loosen the lock screw for the second speed (fig.
A). Turn the lock screw to the next notch (fig. B),
and tighten it. All of the gears are now ready for
use.
48 • ACCELERATOR PEDAL/ELECTRIC BRAKE.
When the foot is lifted from the accelerator
pedal, the electric brake automatically stops the
tractor.
49 • FM RADIO.
A - turn the knob to switch on and off, and to
adjust the volume
B - RESET button for the radio stations
C - button for moving through radio stations
N:B.: the radio will memorise the last station
selected.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
PLEASE NOTE: THE PICTURES OF THE BATTERIES
ARE FOR ILLUSTRATIVE PURPOSES ONLY. YOUR
BATTERY MAY BE DIFFERENT FROM THE MODEL
SHOWN. THIS DOES NOT AFFECT THE
REPLACEMENT AND CHARGING PROCEDURES
DESCRIBED.
50 • Open the battery compartment, as shown in
before. Disconnect the battery power plugs.
51 • Unscrew the two screws of the battery holder
and remove it as shown in the figure. Extract the
battery.
52 • If you possess or have purchased a 12V/12Ah Peg
Perego battery, you should remove the plastic
filler (A) by slipping it off the battery holder.
53 • Put the new battery into place with the battery
holder, taking care to insert it sideways into the
false motors housing; fix the battery holder in
place with the two screws.
54 • Connect the battery and electrical system plugs.
Close the hood by repositioning the lock, as
shown before.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
WARNING: BATTERY CHARGING AND EVERY
OTHER OPERATION ON THE ELECTRICAL
SYSTEM MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY ADULTS
ONLY. THE BATTERY CAN ALSO BE CHARGED
WITHOUT REMOVING IT FROM THE TOY.
55 • Insert the battery charger plug in a domestic
power socket in accordance with the instructions
enclosed with it. Connect plug B with the battery
charger plug C. When the battery is charged,
remove the battery charger from the domestic
socket, then disconnect plug C from plug B.
56 • Fully insert plug B into plug A, ensuring that they
click together. Insert the battery holder. Once
finished, always remember to close and lock the
lid of the battery compartment.
How to use the battery charger
WARNING
1 • Insert only lead acid batteries supplied by PEG
PEREGO.
2 • Do not use with non-rechargeable batteries.
Risk of explosion.
3 • For adult use only. It is not a toy. This
appliance is not intended for use by infirm
persons unless they are being adequately
supervised by a responsible person to ensure
that they can use the appliance safely.
4 • Do not use with damaged sheathing, cable or
connector.
5 • Charge the battery only in a well ventilated area.
6 • Do not remove the plug by pulling on the cable.
7 • Do not drag the vehicle along on its wheels by
pulling the battery charger's cable.
8 • Avoid overheating the cable by covering it and do
not rest it on hot surfaces.
9 • Be aware of how the output cable is wound to
prevent damaging it.
10 • Should the battery charger be damaged, do not
use it until it is fully repaired.
11 • The product contains some elements that are
considered harmful to the environment. Disposal
of these elements or of the entire product at the
end of its life should be in accordance with the
regulations in force in the country where it is
used.
12 • Before using the battery charger make sure that
it is fitted with the specific plug for the country in
which it is going to be used.
13 • Children should not play with the battery charger
as IT IS NOT A TOY.
LED INDICATORS

•STEADY LIGHT: battery charger is operating when
plugged into the power outlet, ready for charging.

CHARGING THE BATTERIES
WARNING! Before using the toy, charge
the battery for at least 18 hours.
A) Plug the battery charger into a power outlet that
complies with the specifications on its label
B) Connect the terminal on the battery charger to
that on the battery, using the appropriate
connectors.
C) Your battery charger is provided with an LED
indicator which means that:
1) When plugging in the charger as described in A)
with no battery connected, the LED will
light up to indicate that the device is working
correctly.
2) Connect the battery as described in section B). If
everything is connected correctly and the battery
is flat, the LED will start blinking, indicating that it
is charging. Wait until the battery is fully charged.
3) When the battery is fully charged, the LED will
stop blinking. A steady LED indicates that the
battery is now fully charged.
4) If the battery is already charged, the LED will be
steady. If during the next use, the battery doesn't
last long, contact the customer service to verify
whether the battery and battery charger are
working properly.
D) Once the charge is completed and the LED is on,
unplug the battery charger from the mains outlet
first,then the battery terminal. Connect the
battery to the electrical system of your toy, which
is now ready to use.
The battery charger is fitted with a safety device
which means that in the event of overheating or a
short circuit of the battery, a protection system will
intervene to prevent current peaks, which could
damage the battery charger.
In this case unplug the battery charger
from the power outlet, remove the cause
of the short circuit and reconnect
everything as described in sections A) to
C).
