To bleed high pressure lines:
A
WARNING: Escaping fluid under pres-
sure can penetrate the skin causing seri-
ous InJury. Relieve pressure before dis-
connecting diesel lines. TIghten all con-
nections before applying pressure.
Keep hands and body away from pin-
holes and nozzles which eject fluids
under high pressure. Use a piece of
cardboard or paper to search for leaks.

If ANY fluid Is Injected Into the skin, It
must be surgically removed within a few
hours
by
a doctor familiar with this type
of Injury or gangrene could result.
A
WARNING: Do not bleed a hot engine as
this could cause fuel to spill onto a hot
exhaust manifold creating a danger of
fire.
A
WARNING: It Is necessary to have the
engine cranking for this procedure. Two
persons will be required; one to turn
Ignition switch and one to watch the
Inlector connections and tighten the
fittings when the line Is free of air.
Use extreme care when working around
moving parts. Wear close fitting cloth-
Ing and protective eyewear. Keep
hands, feet, clothing and hair away from
moving parts.
1. Loosen the fittings at the injectors
(A).
2. Turn key in ignition switch to START
(3
o'clock
position)
and crank for 15 seconds
maximum.
Allow
starter
to cool for 1 minute before cranking
again.
3. When clear fuel wilh no air bubbles flows from
the connections,
stop cranking
the engine and
tighten fittings.
