S Registers
The modem provides S registers to let you control many of
its parameters. Some of these S registers are Read-Only
(RO) registers. Some are bit mapped. For bit-mapped S
registers, each option controlled by the register is assigned a
bit. The state of the bit determines whether the option is en-
abled. The value of the S register is then set by adding the
values of all bits representing enabled options.
