10.2 Replacing a Memory Module

CAUTION:
Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the safety
instructions that shipped with your computer.
NOTICE:
If you are installing two memory modules, you must install the bottom memory
module first.
1. Place the module at a 45-degree angle, and align the notch in the module with the tab on the connector.
NOTE:
If the memory module is not installed properly, the computer may not boot. No error
message indicates this failure.
2. Press down on the module until it clicks into place. If the module does not click into place, remove the
module and reinstall it.
3. Replace the bottom access panel (see Replacing the Bottom Access Panel).
4. Follow the procedures in After Working on Your Computer. As the computer boots, it detects the additional
memory and automatically updates the system configuration information. To confirm the amount of
memory installed in the computer:
In Windows Vista, click Start

11.1 Removing the Coin-Cell Battery

CAUTION:
Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the safety
instructions that shipped with your computer.
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working on Your Computer.
2. Remove the bottom access panel (see Removing the Bottom Access Panel).
3. Remove the RF Passthru board (see Removing RF Passthru Board).
4. Pry up the coin-cell battery to release the double-stick adhesive tape on the bottom of the coin-cell battery,
and then lift it out of the computer.
