3. Wenn der Futterautomat in einem anderen WiFi-Netzwerk ein-
wandfrei funktioniert, liegen die Probleme höchstwahrscheinlich an
Einstellungen / Eigenarten deines WiFi-Routers.
3.1 Probiere zunächst, den DNS-Server deines Routers auf den Google
DNS-Server 8.8.8.8 zu ändern. Diese Maßnahme ist sicher und ein-
fach durchzuführen:
• Melde dich bei Ihrem WiFi-Router als Admin an.
• Suche die Netzwerk -oder DNS-Server-Einstellungen des Routers
• Füge einen oder beide öffentlichen DNS-Server von Google zur Konfi-
guration des Routers hinzu:
• Google Primärer DNS-Server: 8.8.8.8
• Google Sekundärer DNS-Server: 8.8.4.4
• Speicher die Änderungen und starte den Router neu.

du bei Bedarf im Handbuch deines WiFi-Routers.
3.2 Wenn der WiFi-Router über eine integrierte Firewall verfügt, kann es
in seltenen Fällen erforderlich sein, eine statische IP-Adresse für den
Futterautomaten zu vergeben, um zu verhindern, dass der Vide-
ostream von der Firewall blockiert wird. Konsultiere hierzu die Bedie-
nungsanleitung oder den Kundenservice deines WLAN-Routers.
Tipps für die Verwendung von IOT-Geräten
• Aktualisiere die Software deiner Geräte, wenn Sicherheitsupdates
verfügbar sind.
• Änder voreingestellte Standardpasswörter und nutze Passwortmana-
ger und gegebenenfalls eine Zwei-Faktor-Authentisierung.
• Aktiviere die Firewall Ihres Routers.
• Richte ein separates WLAN für IoT-Geräte ein. Hierbei werden die IoT-
Geräte in einem separaten Netzwerk betrieben, welches keine Verbin-
dung zu sensiblen Daten oder Geräten wie etwa Ihren Computer hat.
• Aktiviere die Verschlüsselung der Kommunikation der IoT-Geräte
• Verbinde IoT-Geräte nur mit dem Internet, wenn ein Fernzugriff unbe-
dingt notwendig ist.
• Nutze VPN für eine gesicherte Verbindung von unterwegs in dein
Heimnetz
• Sofern an deinem Router die Einstellung UPnP (Universal Plug and
Play) aktiviert ist, solltest du diese deaktivieren, damit deine IoT-
Geräte nicht unkontrolliert ins Internet kommunizieren können.
• Achte darauf, dass Fremde nicht oder nur schwer auf deine Geräte
zugreifen und etwas an der Hardware ändern können.
• USB• oder LAN-Ports sollten nicht frei zugänglich sein, da diese einem
Angreifer als Einfallstor in dein Netzwerk und auf deine Daten dienen
können.
• Bedenke die mögliche Weitergabe persönlicher Daten und den Schutz
deiner Privatsphäre.
• Wäge bewusst ab, wann Sicherheit wichtiger ist als Komfort und
Funktionalität

• Read the operating instructions before use.
• The pet feeder is not a toy for children. Do not let children play with
the packaging foil. Danger of suffocation!
• The feeder is only suitable for dry food (diameter 3 - 13 mm).
• Do not use it with puppies and kittens under 7 months.
• The base unit must not get wet - not dishwasher suitable.
• Additional instructions for the use of IOT devices can be found at the
end of this manual.
Electric Shock Hazard!
• Incorrect use may result in electric shock.
• The mains voltage of the socket must match the specification on the
automatic feeder.
• Ideally, use an easily accessible socket so that you can quickly discon-
nect the feeder from the mains if necessary.
• Do not use the feeder if there is visible damage to the appliance or
the mains cable or plug.
• Do not open the feeder, but contact our customer service.
• Do not use a timer or other remote control system.
• Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.
Safety
• The feeder is suitable for indoor use only.
• Place the feeder on a level surface. The feeder must be sufficiently
ventilated on all sides.
• Only use the feeder with the feed container and lid and do not place
anything on top of it.
• Never pull the mains plug out of the socket by the cable, always
grasp the mains plug.
• Do not use the power cord as a carrying handle.
• Keep the feeder and power plug away from open flames and heat.
• Route the power cord so that it does not become a tripping hazard.
• Do not kink the power cord or place it over sharp edges.
• Do not allow your pet to nibble on the feeder or cord. If necessary,
protect it with a cord protector.
• Never reach for an electrical appliance if it has fallen into the water.
In such a case, unplug the appliance immediately.
• Unplug the feeder when not in use or when cleaning it.
Preparation
1. Press the lock on the top of the lid to open the feeder and remove the
accessories from the feed container.
2. Connect the automatic feeder to a power source using the power
plug and turn it on.
3. Optionally, you can insert 3 x D mono batteries into the automatic
feeder as an emergency power supply. That way the programmed
feeding times can be guaranteed even in the event of a power failure.
Please note that the automatic feeder is not accessible via the app in
battery mode.
4. To navigate and programme the feeder, download the Trixie Smart
app to your smartphone or tablet. Scanning the QR code will take
you to the download:
