Use of a new battery (04_11)

Make sure that the ignition
switch is set to "OFF".
Remove the rider saddle.
Undo and remove the screw (1)
of the negative terminal (-).
Move the negative lead (2)
aside.
Undo and remove the screw (3)
of the positive terminal (+).

Move the positive lead (4) aside.
Undo and remove the two
screws (5).
Remove the battery locking
bracket (6).
Hold the battery (7) firmly and lift
it out of its compartment.
Put the battery (7) away on a
level surface in a cool and dry
place.
Refit the rider saddle.
CAUTION
UPON REFITTING, CONNECT THE
LEAD TO THE POSITIVE TERMINAL
(+) FIRST AND AFTERWARDS THE
LEAD TO THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL
(-).
CHECK THAT THE BATTERY LEADS
AND TERMINALS ARE:
- IN GOOD CONDITION (NOT CORRO-
DED OR COVERED BY DEPOSITS);

Controleer of de ontstekings-
schakelaar zich in positie ''OFF''
bevindt.
Verwijder het zadel van de be-
stuurder.
Draai de bout (1) los en verwij-
der ze van de negatieve klem
(-).
Verplaats de negatieve kabel (2)
zijdelings.
Draai de bout (3) los en verwij-
der ze van de positieve klem (+).
Verplaats de positieve kabel (4)
zijdelings.
Draai de twee bouten (5) los en
verwijder ze.
Verwijder het blokkeerbeugeltje
(6) van de accu.
Grijp de accu (7) stevig vast, en
verwijder ze uit haar plaats door
ze op te heffen.
Plaats de accu (7) op een vlakke
ondergrond, in een koele en
droge plaats.
Herplaats het zadel van de be-
stuurder.
LET OP
BIJ DE HERMONTAGE VERBINDT
MEN EERST DE KABEL OP DE POSI-
TIEVE KLEM (+) EN DAARNA OP DE
NEGATIEVE KLEM (-).
