Replace of diaphragm
Work steps
The steps described below must be applied to both
actuator chambers.
Control function A (NC normally closed)
Pressurize the lower pilot air port of the actuator with
compressed air (6 bar).
Control function B (NO normally open)
With control function B, compressed air must not be
applied.
Removing the actuator
Remove the actuator in the open position by unscrewing
the body screws from the body.
Changing the diaphragm
Insert the supplied spacers into the four holes in the
diaphragm (not for SET9-RV50) and then replace the
diaphragm.
CAUTION!
Diaphragm and all diaphragm contacting parts must be
kept grease-free by any means!
Re-installing the actuator (in open position)
Place the actuator onto the body and slightly tighten the
body screws diagonally, until the diaphragm lies in con-
tact between the body and the actuator.
Control function A:
Apply compressed air (6 bar) twice to the lower pilot air
port of the actuator and relieve it again so that the valve
switches.
Control function B:
Apply compressed air (6 bar) twice to the upper pilot air
port of the actuator and relieve it again so that the valve
switches.
Apply compressed air (6 bar) again to the upper pilot air
port for installing the diaphragm.
Then tighten the body screws to the specified nominal
torque (in 2-3 steps, guide value according to table).
