The num ber of fixt ures on a link will be det erm ined by t he com bined num ber of channels required by all t he fixt ures.

  • Page 25 CHAPTER 3 Menu System Menu System Options The following sect ions describe and give exam ples for select ing and/ or set t ing available fixt ure configurat ion opt ions. Address Menu Address is t he t op level m enu select ion used t o set t he fixt ure’s DMX st art channel. You can address t he fixt ure before applying power in t he bat t ery m ode or in norm al m ode aft er you power up t he fixt ure.
  • Page 26 CHAPTER 3 Menu System Determining DMX Start Channel Assignment There are 512 available channels on each DMX link divided am ong all t he devices in a part icular link. A fixt ure m ust have a unique St art channel num ber in order t o respond independent ly t o cont roller com m ands.

All ot her SolaSpot Pro CMY fixt ures on t he link can t hen be set as slaves t o playback t he Mast er preset s. Slave fixt ures receive all t heir preset param et er and t im ing inform at ion from t he m ast er fixt ure.
  • Page 38 CHAPTER 4 Preset Programming Edit Scenes A param et er is a fixt ure at t ribut e t hat can be cont rolled t o m odify t he light beam in t erm s of color, beam qualit y and pat t ern, int ensit y, or focus ( posit ion) . DMX program m ing assigns a DMX value t o each of t he fixt ure’s param et ers.

This allows a gobo t o be changed easily wit hout rem oving t he wheel from t he unit . Note: It is imperative that gobo holders are removed and replaced one at a time.

The display m ay show " Err channel is XX" while t here are problem s wit h one or m ore channels. " XX" st ands for channel 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 who has t he t est ing sensor for posit ioning.
