FRONT AND REAR SATELLITE
WALL MOUNTING
The RM Series speakers are supplied with wall
mounting brackets. Follow the steps below to
safely secure the brackets and speakers.
Wall or ceiling installation of RM Series
speakers requires basic skills in using tools
such as a drill and screwdriver. If you are in
doubt that you possess the necessary skills
or tools, consult your Polk dealer or a pro-
fessional installer.
• Make sure the material on which you
plan to mount the speakers (plaster, dry-
wall, paneling, etc.) can support the
weight of the speakers.
• Make sure the locations you select do not
conceal electrical wiring or plumbing.
• Hold the speaker in the chosen location
to make sure it clears the ceiling, adja-
cent walls, corners, beams, lighting fix-
tures and door/window frames.
• If you are certain that there is a stud
behind the wall surface, drive #10 screws
(not supplied) through the wall and into
the stud.
• If there is no stud behind the chosen
location, install #10 wall anchors (not
supplied) into the wall by following wall
anchor manufacturer's instructions.
Always use two wall anchors and screws
per speaker.
• Drive screws into stud or wall anchors,

Los modelos RM Series vienen con abrazaderas
para ser instalados en la pared. Siga los pasos
descritos abajo para instalar firmemente las
abrazaderas y los altoparlantes.
La instalación de los altoparlantes RM en la
pared requiere que se tengan conocimientos
básicos acerca del uso de herramientas tales
como el taladro y el destornillador. Si usted
tiene dudas acerca de si posee o no los
conocimientos o herramientas necesarias con-
sulte con su distribuidor Polk o con un instal-
ador profesional.
• Asegúrese de que el material de la pared
donde planea instalar el altoparlante
(yeso, paredes prefabricadas, paneles
de madera, etc.) puede sostener el peso
del altoparlante.
• Asegúrese de que el lugar que eligió no
tenga conexiones eléctricas o de
plomería ocultas.
• Sostenga el altoparlante en la posición
deseada para asegurarse de que no
existan obstrucciones tales como
esquinas, soportes, luces y marcos de
ventanas y/o puertas.
•Usando la abrazadera como molde, mar-
que con un lápiz la ubicación de las dos
ranuras de tipo ojo de llave.
•Alinee el agujero que se encuentra en la
mitad de la abrazadera con el agujero que
