Note: If the impeller cannot be loosened, use a 3/8-24 x 2 3/4” longer bolt of the same diameter and thread type as the impeller bolt. Invert the engine and impeller, then support engine above ground to prevent recoil damage. Thread longer bolt by hand into the crankshaft until the bolt bottoms. Use a gear or wheel puller against the bolt head and the impeller back plate to remove the impeller from the shaft.
