Preparation

1. Access controller(DS-K2604T in this document)
2. HID card reader(Signo 20K in this document)

How to Connect the Device via Wiegand

Wire Connection

1. Connect Wiegand cable from card reader to controller
   

Note:
Different model of HID card readers may have different colors for Wiegand cable, please check label on card reader before connect cable.

Configuration

1. Login HCAC web client, go to configuration page of DS-K2604T, set custom Wiegand rule. Different HID card reader may use different Wiegand protocol, determine Wiegand protocol first.
   
2. Take HID 40 bit format for example, Total length is 40, Parity Type is None, choose Rule02. Input Start Bit as 5, Length as 12, Decimal digits as 4. Input Start bit as 17, length as 16, Decimal digits as 5, so that 4 bits decimal number is manufacturer code, 5 digits decimal number is card ID
   Note:
   Different model of HID card readers may have different Wiegand protocol, please check protocol type such as total length, parity type, start bit, length and decimal digits before configuration.
   
3. Open 'HID Reader Manager', scan for readers or use NFC to detect parameters of card reader. check detailed configuration, check parameters of Wiegand configuration. Enable Wiegand, choose spec compliance as V2, set address, and OSDP baud rate should be 19200. Click add to the template to save settings.
   
   

Note:
iPhone cannot use NFC to detect card reader on HID Reader Manager

Operation

1. Enroll card
   Go to person module of Hikcentral Access Control. Click configuration to choose OSDP reader to enroll card. Click add and swipe card on OSDP reader, card No will be displayed.
   
   
2. Assign access level
   Go to Access Control module, set access level and assign access level to the person registered, the person can swipe card to open door
