Danger!
Never use the appliance if you discover damage, if water has penetrated the housing or if the
appliance has been dropped. If you notice damage during use, unplug it from the power supply
immediately.
Danger!
Check the power cord for damage before every use. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced
immediately. This may only be arranged by the manufacturer, his customer service or a similarly
qualified and authorized specialist.
- Use original accessories only.

Initial operation
Caution!
The device starts operating as soon as the power cord is connected to the device and the
power outlet.
Danger!
Observe the Installation site requirements described in chapter 5.1.
Caution!
Do not leave children unattended in the vicinity of the hot device.
Risk of burns or injury!
High temperatures are generated during operation of the Raclette oven.
5.1
Installation site requirements
- Place the Raclette oven on stable, flat and heat-resistant surfaces only. Keep the appliance out of reach of
children.
- Do not place the Raclette oven near or on hot surfaces (heaters, hot plates, or other heat sources). Make sure
there is enough space next to and above the appliance.
- Keep a safe distance from flammable materials such as napkins, tablecloths, etc.
- Ensure that the power cord and/or any extension cord does not have any contact to hot surfaces at the device
or other hot surfaces such as hot plates or hot liquids. Make sure it does not pass over sharp edges and is
not kinked or bent.
- Also ensure that the power cord and/or any extension cord used does not hang down from the table or counter
so that no one can trip over it and cause the appliance to be pulled down.
5.2
Before the first use
- Read the instructions and safety guidelines carefully before using the appliance.
- Remove all packing material, make sure that all parts as in chapter 7 Scope of delivery are present and in
proper condition.
- Wipe the housing and the cheese tray with a soft, slightly moistened cloth. If necessary, dry it off thoroughly.
- Clean the grill plate and the scraper with warm water and a mild detergent only. Do not clean these parts in
the dishwasher. Dry off all parts completely.
- Place the grill plate flush with the support on top of the heating element. Make sure it is placed safely in the
support.
