Safety instructions
Although the appliance features high quality and safety standards, injuries or damage due to operating errors
or improper use cannot be ruled out. Therefore, note the safety recommendations marked by the following
symbols:
Danger!
Failure to observe can lead to permanent injuries and/or major damage.
Caution!
Failure to observe can lead to slight to moderate injuries and/or damage.
Risk of burns or injury!
Failure to observe can lead to slight to moderate personal injuries and/or property damage.
- Read these instructions carefully before the first use of the appliance.
- If the appliance is given to another person, ensure that the instructions are also included.
- First check whether the current and voltage are the same as on the type label.
- Do not touch either the Raclette oven or the power cord with wet or damp hands.
- Only connect the device to a properly installed power socket. Do not use any multiple socket that is already
being used to run other appliances. The plug and power cord must be dry. The protective effect must not be
deactivated by an extension cable without a protective conductor.
Caution!
Never hold objects made of metal or other electrically conductive objects in the contact openings of
the mains outlet socket.
- Only operate the device under direct supervision and for the intended purpose, as described in
chapter 3.3 Intended use.
Caution!
The device starts operating as soon as the power cord is connected to the device and the
power outlet.
Caution!
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than
8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years.
- Children are not allowed to play with the appliance.
- Never operate this appliance using an external timer or separate remote control system.
Risk of burns or injury!
Using the Raclette oven results in high temperatures. Even after use, there is residual heat.
- Do not move the appliance as long as it is still hot. Do not pull on the cable to move the device. Lift the
appliance and place it on the desired location.
- Pull the power plug after each use and:
- when the device is not under your direct supervision
- in case of faults during operation
- each time you clean the device
Always pull on the plug and not on the cord.
Danger!
Do not immerse the appliance, the power cord or plug in water or any other liquids and never spray
water directly onto them. Do not clean it in the dishwasher.
