Steering wheel adjustment:

Heated steering wheel* [4]


When the ignition switch or engine start/stop button is in the ON position, press the button shown to switch on the heated steering wheel. The indicator on the button will illuminate. To turn off the heating function, press the button once again.

Cruise control system* [5]

  1. ON-OFF button (CRUISE/) to activate cruise control system
  2. Set cruise control speed by moving the lever down to SET -
  3. To increase cruise control set speed
  4. To decrease cruise control set speed
  5. Cancel cruise control set speed by pressing the cancel button (CANCEL/O)
  6. Resume cruising speed by moving the lever up to RES +

  1. Push the mechanical key to the right
    Closing the fuel filler door
    • Turn cap clockwise until it "clicks" to ensure it is securely closed.
    • Close the door and press the edge until it is securely locked.

  1. Fully open the door
  2. Turn cap counterclockwise to open

Opening the bonnet [5]

Pull the release lever to unlatch the bonnet

  1. Lift the bonnet slightly
  2. Push the secondary latch inside and lift the bonnet

Closing the bonnet

  • Before closing the bonnet, check if all filler caps are correctly installed and any other combustible material must be removed from the engine compartment.
  • Lower the bonnet halfway and push down to securely lock in place.

Charging / Electric Mode

How to connect charger [H10]

  1. Depress the brake pedal and apply the parking brake.
  2. Turn OFF all switches, move the shift lever to P (Park), and turn OFF the vehicle.
  3. After unlocking doors, open the charging door by pressing it.
  4. Remove any dust on the charging connector and charging inlet.
  5. Hold the charging connector handle. Then, insert it into the charging inlet, until you hear a "click" sound. If it is not fully connected, a bad connection between the charging connector and the charging terminal may cause a fire.
  6. Check if the charging cable connection indicator in the instrument cluster is turned ON.
    Charging does not occur when the indicator is OFF. When the charging connector is not connected properly, reconnect the charging cable to charge.

Changing plug-in hybrid mode [H26]

Pressing the [EV/HEV] button changes the plug-in hybrid system modes, between Electric (CD) mode and Hybrid (CS) mode.

Towing / Spare Tyre, Jack And Tools / Tyre Mobility Kit

Towing [6]

When towing the vehicle in an emergency without wheel dollies, tow with the front wheels off the ground and:

  1. Set the ignition switch in the ACC position.
  2. Place the transaxle shift lever in N (Neutral).
  3. Release the parking brake.

Emergency towing

If towing is necessary, it is recommended to have it done by an authorised Kia dealer or a commercial tow truck service.

Removable towing hook [6]

  1. Open the tailgate and remove the towing hook from the tool case.
  2. Remove the hole cover by pressing the lower part of the cover on the bumper.
  3. Install the towing hook by turning it clockwise until it is fully secured.
  4. Remove the towing hook and install the cover after use.

Spare tyre, jack and tools* [6]

The shown tools are stored in the luggage compartment. Pull up the luggage box cover to reach this equipment.

Tyre Mobility Kit* [6]

Please read the instructions before using the Tyre Mobility Kit.

With the Tyre Mobility Kit you stay mobile even after experiencing a tyre puncture. After you ensure that the tyre is properly sealed you can drive cautiously on the tyre (up to 200 km (120 miles)) at a max. speed of 80 km/h (50 mph) in order to reach a vehicle or tyre dealer to have the tyre replaced.

Engine Oil / Washer Fluid

Checking the engine oil level [7]

Pull the dipstick out and check the level. The level should be between F and L.

Refilling engine oil [7]

Use only the specified engine oil [9] and avoid spillage.

Check the fluid level and add fluid if necessary.

Additional Info*

Idle Stop & Go (ISG)

When enabled, ISG automatically stops the car's engine to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. The ISG function may not work if the car's battery charge status, ambient temperature and/or engine temperature is too low. Air conditioning/heater control settings may also affect ISG function.

Parking brake (handbrake)

When engaging the parking brake, apply the footbrake first and keep it depressed. Then apply the parking brake.
We strongly recommend to leave the car in first or reverse gear or in the 'P' (Park) position on automatics when leaving the car.
