Use above torque setting unless otherwise noted
- Slide the shank of the D-ring shackle mount into your vehicle's 2" receiver and align the hole in the shank with the hole in the receiver hitch.
Insert your hitch pin (sold separately) through the hitch and D-ring shank. Secure on the opposite side with the clip provided with your hitch pin. See diagram below. - Secure your tow strap (sold separately) by feeding it through the opening in the shackle. Depending on the style and size of your tow strap, it may be necessary to remove the shackle from the shank. Remove the shackle by loosening the shackle bolt and reinstalling after hooking up the tow strap.
Note: Ensure the shackle bolt is fully threaded into the shackle after removal and reinstallation. Torque to 30 ft-lbs. The end of the bolt should be flush with the outside of the shackle when re-installed.

Maintenance
- Inspect the unit for proper operation and worn, damaged or missing parts.
Replace as required or when the unit's wear exceeds 1/8" from the original surface. - Periodically apply a small amount of grease or anti-seize to the shackle bolt threads.
