Docking

Place your camera in your Axon Dock to charge the battery, offload videos, and download system updates. Ensure the USB port is dry and free of dirt and debris before placing the camera in a dock or connecting a USB-C cable.

Battery

Depending on agency settings, your camera may only charge to 90% and display Full to preserve battery health; this is not an error.

Water

Your camera is resistant to water splashes but is not immersible. While it can handle exposure to rain, avoid downpours. Treat it with the same care you would use with any expensive electronic device.

Add marker	Press Select while recording
Enter or exit audio mute	Press Select for three seconds while recording
End recording	Press Event for three seconds
Enter menu	Press Program and Power simultaneously
Enter Sleep mode	Press Power then Select to confirm
Enter Stealth mode	Press Volume Down for three seconds*
Exit Sleep mode	Press Power or start a recording
Exit Stealth mode	Press Volume Up or Volume Down for three seconds*
Pairing	Press Event + Program simultaneously
Power off	Press Power for three seconds
Power on	Press Power until short vibration
Speaker volume	Press Volume Up or Volume Down
Start recording	Double-press Event
Toggle light setting	Press Volume Up for three second, then tap to toggle modes

* The camera remembers the previous volume and light settings when exiting Stealth mode.

Axon View

(iOS or Android)
Use the Axon View mobile app to play video and add metadata (case ID, title, and category). Axon View can share highly accurate mobile phone location with Axon Body 3. Axon recommends setting Axon View location permissions to Always to use this capability.

1. Open Axon View, select an Axon Body 3 camera, sign into your Evidence.com account, and tap Initiate Pairing.
2. With the camera powered on, press Select and Event at the same time.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions on the Axon View application to pair your camera to Axon View.

Axon View XL Standalone for Windows

Use the ViewXL Standalone desktop app to play video and add metadata. Administrators can use View XL Standalone to register and assign cameras.
After signing into Axon View XL and selecting Standalone Mode, connect the camera to the computer using an Axon-supplied USB-C cable.
