SmartPAD II introduction

SmartPAD II is designed for performance with Ableton Live. In this manual, you'll learn how to connect to
SmartPAD II using Ableton Live-Professional automatic mapping and use its basic features, making it easy to
use Ableton Live software with gestures.

Connect the steps

Install Ableton Live and import SmartPAD II device files to the Live installation directory.
⚫
Connect SmartPAD II to your computer with a standard USB cable (included) .
⚫
Open Ableton Live software.

Software Setup

Open the Ableton Live software (after connecting the device).
⚫
Go to Options ->Preferences(PC) or Live ->Preferences(MAC).
⚫
Select "SmartPAD II" as the device for the "Control Surface" and "Input" and "Output".
⚫
Under "MIDI ports", turn all available "Track" and "Remote" settings "On".
