4.3 ASSEMBLY OF THE ROLLER HOLDER
Position the roller holder arm H over the pre-
drilled holes in the frame. Then, secure it using
screws I to attach the arm (Fig. 3).
Insert the base of the roller holder K onto shaft
J (Fig. 3). Finally, place the edge tape roll onto
the roller holder, and install the upper retaining
blades of the tape roll M, securing them with
knob M1 (Fig. 3).
4.4 ASSEMBLY OF THE CUTTER SUPPORT
BRACKET
Place the bracket N on the pre-drilled holes on
the table and then secure it with screws O to
the frame (Fig. 4), aligning it with the surface
of the table.
4.5 ASSEMBLY OF THE PANEL SUPPORT
HOLDERS
According to the shape and dimensions of the
panel, position the support holders O1 in the ho-
les provided on the surface of the table (Fig. 1).
4.6 SECURING THE TABLE ON A SURFACE
The MEB ZeroLine table must be secured on a
stable surface to prevent any movement during
the edging work. To do this, insert the grooved
wooden strip supplied with the machine packa-
ging onto the lower flange on each side of the
table P1 (Fig. 3), and screw the strips onto the
chosen surface.
5. STARTING UP THE PEB ZeroLine® EDGE
BANDER
Follow the steps outlined in the PEB ZeroLine®
edge bander instruction manual.
ATTENTION! The compressed air must be free
of moisture, water, solvents, and impurities.
Otherwise, malfunctions may occur in the edge
bander.
Connect the electrical and pneumatic supply
hose to the machine's electrical socket and to
the air connector P on the frame (Fig. 5). Con-
nect the pneumatic pressure using valve V (Fig.
8), setting it to the 'I' position. To disconnect it,
set it to the '0' position.
Remove the guide support (see C (Fig. 11) in the
PEB ZeroLine® instruction manual). For edge
banding on the ZeroLine® table, its use is not
necessary.
6
Insert the edge tape into the machine's entry
guide, passing it first through the cutter guide
R (Fig. 6).
Before starting and to initiate the edge banding,
perform the machine settings as described in the
PEB ZeroLine® manual.
6. EDGE BANDING STRAIGHT PIECES
If the PEB ZeroLine® edge bander is ready to
apply edges as explained in section 5, follow the
steps described in the machine manual.
Insert the edge tape from the roller holder by
pressing the automatic feed button X (Fig. 6).
By pressing the handle switch Y (Fig. 1), the wor-
king pressure is automatically activated.
Move the panel forward to meet the edge tape
as it comes out on the pressure roller Z (Fig. 1).
Press the panel against the pressure roller and
guide it with both hands until the end of the
edge banding process to ensure the edge tape is
properly adhered.
When the end of the panel passes in front of the
frame mark Z1 (Fig. 7), step on the foot switch
A1 (Fig. 1) to trim the rear end piece.
7. EDGE BANDING BEVELED PIECES
If the PEB ZeroLine® edge bander is ready to
apply edges, as explained in section 5, follow
these steps for banding beveled pieces.
Disconnect the pneumatic pressure in the cut-
ting cylinder line by setting valve A2 to position
"0" (Fig. 3).
Loosen screw A3 to release the cutter holder and
rotate it towards the inside of the table (Fig. 9).
This way, the tape's path is cleared in the incli-
ned position of the edge bander.
Loosen the locking lever A4 (Fig. 8) of the tilting
support. The support with the machine is raised
with the help of hydraulic pistons. Using the an-
gular scale A5 (Fig. 10), it is possible to set the
angle for the bevel to be edge banded. Once the
machine is positioned at the desired angle (max.
45°), lock it with lever A4 (Fig. 8).
8. EDGE BANDING SHAPED, CONCAVE OR
CIRCULAR PIECES
If the PEB ZeroLine® edge bander is ready for
edge banding, as explained in section 5, follow
these steps for banding shaped, concave or cir-
cular pieces.
