Aperture-Priority Mode
Set the aperture value to a higher number when you want a larger in-focus area (in front of
and behind the main subject), to a lower number for a smaller in-focus area.
Set the mode dial to [
Rotate the setting wheel to set the aperture value.

The operation mode will switch between aperture and
exposure compensation setting every time the setting wheel is
pressed.

Depending on the focal length set, some of the aperture values cannot be selected.
Shutter-Priority Mode
When you want to take a sharp picture of a fast moving subject, set to a faster shutter
speed. When you want to create a trailing effect, set to a slower shutter speed.
