Installing the CD Audio Driver

The CD player requires that the CD audio driver be installed.
1 With Windows running, Double-click on the Main program group

2 Double-click on the Control Panel icon
3 Double-click on the Drivers icon
4 Click on Add.
5 Click on
(MCI) CD Audio
You are prompted to insert the Windows options disk or to type a
pathname.
6 Type: c:\windows\options. Then click on OK.
The message "
One CD-ROM drive was detected.
Installation is complete
7 Click on OK and then Click on Close.

Installing the Mixer Application

During the installation of the sound board drivers, the mixer
application may have been installed. You can check this by looking for
the Clef Studio group in the Program Manager group. If the Clef Studio
group does not exist, you can create it by installing the Clef Studio
software. To do this:
1 With Windows running, insert the HP Multimedia Sound CD in the
CD-ROM drive. (Insert the CD label side up; press the open/close
pushbutton to open and close the drawer.)
2 From the Program Manager, click on the File menu and click Run...
In the command line, type d:\win311\clefstud\setup
and then follow the instructions that appear on the
screen.
(The CD-ROM drive may be your E drive. In this case you would
enter e:\win311\clefstud\setup
clicking the Browse button in the Run dialog box, and then clicking
on the Drives drop-down list.
