This example shows how to enter the port-profile configuration mode and enable the port profile:

Inheriting a Port Profile

You can inherit a port profile onto an existing port profile. The system supports four levels of inheritance.

Configuring the Basic Interface Parameters
Purpose
Enters configuration mode.
Enters the port-profile configuration mode
for the specified port profile.
Enables that port profile.
Exits the port-profile configuration mode.
(Optional) Displays the port-profile
configuration.
(Optional) Copies the running
configuration to the startup configuration.
