The CEG uses BACnet MS/TP open protocol to monitor chiller operation. The gateway can communicate either through hardwired RS-485 or wirelessly, using mesh network technology with self-healing capabilities. The CEG then aggregates, packages, and transmits the data to the Johnson CEG and TMR Technical Bulletin Johnson Controls...

The CEG is a supervisory device that monitors BACnet MS/TP equipment and sends data to cloud- based services. The CEG supports Johnson Controls and third-party chillers. When you use the CEG with a TMR, you can connect the wireless enabled BACnet MS/TP controllers over the TMR wireless mesh network.

You can connect multiple MS/TP controllers to the same TMR router. This is useful if you install the controllers in the same control panel, or in close proximity, so that it is more economical to hard wire the controllers together, rather than to connect a separate TMR to each controller.
