Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI)

Before delivering the machine to your customers site for installation, it is important you
perform a pre-delivery inspection. This is to ensure that the machine is functioning
correctly when it arrives to you and that there are no defects with the machine.
This procedure should be conducted within 48 hours of an installation date, if an
installation is conducted after 48 hours, the customer may experience bad taste, the
unit will need to be thoroughly sanitised on installation.
Stage 1. Initial Inspection
Remove all packaging but do not throw it away, you will need it again. Check the overall
condition of the unit, check all panels, the drip tray, and buttons.
Stage 2. Wet Test
The purpose of the Wet Test is to ensure the unit is fully functional and operating to
specification when commissioned as per installation at a customer's site:
1.
Bypass the water filter and connect the unit to a suitable filtered potable water
supply and turn the water on
2.
Check for leaks
3.
Connect unit into a suitable electrical socket
4.
Fill all tanks with filtered water and dispense from all options
5.
Check for leaks
6.
Turn on the compressor and/or heater switch (where applicable)
7.
When the hot tank stops heating, dispense to check the water is hot
8.
When the compressor stops, dispense to check the water is cold
9.
Check all functions on the machine
If the unit fails any of the above steps, take the necessary remedial actions.
Should there be a need to speed up this process, the chilling performance test (No 8 -
above) can be shortened, simply check the compressor is running and heat can be felt
at the condenser. This is not a perfect test, but it can shorten the overall time required.
Stage 3. Cleaning Process
Once the unit has passed all the testing processes, we must sanitise the cold, ambient
and sparkling water components, this ensures the unit is clean and has good taste from
all options, this will include:
Sanitise the cold, ambient and sparkling water options
Test the taste and temperature of the water options
Drain, turn off and disconnect
Stage 4. Final Inspection, Panel & Pack Process
Re-fit any panels, clean, and repack
Optional: Attach label to box with time and date of PDI
