INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Thank you for purchasing a Genuine Mazda Accessory.
Before installation, please thoroughly read these instructions.
For your safety, please read the contents of this booklet to properly install and care for the Logo
Welcome Light. Keep these instructions with your vehicle records for future reference.
There are several ( ! WARNING) and ( ! CAUTION) sections in this booklet concerning safety
when installing the Logo Welcome Light. Always read and follow them in order to prevent
injuries, accidents, and possible damage to the vehicle.
WARNING Indicates a situation in which serious injury or death could result if the warning is
ignored.
CAUTION Indicates a situation in which bodily injury or damage to the vehicle could result if
the caution is ignored.
• Do not modify the Logo Welcome Light.
• Do not install the Logo Welcome Light in any way other than described in the following
instructions.
• If in any doubt, please ask your Mazda dealer to install the accessory in order to prevent errors
in installation.
• If you have any questions about the use of the accessory, ask your Mazda dealer for proper
advice before using it.
• Mazda and its suppliers are not responsible for injuries, accidents, and damage to persons and
property that arise from the failure of the dealer or installer to follow these instructions.
• To ensure safety and reliability of the work, installation, removal and disposal work must be

  • Page 5 4. PREPERATION DOOR TRIM REMOVAL Door Trim Protection A x protective tape to the positions shown in the figures. Tape must be applied as shown prior to the removal of any door trim parts. Tape can be removed at the end of the installation after the door trim has been completely reassembled.

  • Page 7 Disconnect Negative Lead-Acid Battery Terminal Warning Contact with the positive lead-acid battery terminal could cause electrocution due to a short circuit and result in serious injury or death, or damage to vehicle parts. Do not contact the positive lead-acid battery terminal when performing the procedure.

Remove the remaining clips from the car and attach them to the front door trim. The figure shows the left side (same as right side).
  • Page 12 6. DOOR HARNESS INSTALLATION DRIVER SIDE SHOWN (PASSENGER SIDE IS SYMMETRIC) DOOR HARNESS INSTALLATION Unclip the connector and bring it out for easy access.     ELECTRO TAP PROCEDURE Vehicle wiring harness Insert the vehicle wiring harness into the electro tap Fold the electro tap as shown in the figure and lock it. CAUTION Electro tap Firmly engage the lock part until a click sound is heard. Vehicle wiring harness Lock Insert the harness to the end of the electro tap.

Secure the fuse holder to the vehicle harness by wrapping them with the other 70mm piece of foam tape.   • Page 15 7. LED HOUSING INSTALLATION HOLE SAW INCLUDED IN KIT DOOR TRIM – DRILLING THE HOLE Measure to the dimensions shown. Using a hole punch, mark the drill location. Use the included 19mm hole saw to drill the hole in the bottom of the trim panel. Deburr to ensure a clean hole.
  • Page 16 DOOR TRIM – INSTALLING THE LIGHT Remove the thumb screw from the light housing and harness. Turn the trim panel over. Route the harness and light housing up through the hole. Finger tighten the thumb screw to hold the light in place.
  • Page 17 Wrap the harness as shown and cover with foam tape. Use a cable tie to secure the wrapped harness to the cable tie holder. 8. REASSEMBLY REATTACH THE DOOR TRIM Bring the door trim panel to the door and reattach the electrical connectors and components in the reverse order of disassembly.
  • Page 18 Set the top row of clip fasteners only. Make sure a slight gap can be made at the bottom to access the Logo Welcome Light clip. Reconnect the negative terminal on the 12V battery and check that the Logo Welcome Light illuminates with the courtesy circuit.
  • Page 19 Tighten down the thumb screw and then torque the locking screw to secure the light in position. Recheck the logo light so that the image is in-line with the door. 0.5 Nm (4.4 IN LBS) 2.5 mm Hex Key Look for the Logo Welcome Light connector. Use the last 30mm piece of foam tape to wrap the Logo Welcome Light connector.
