SETTING THE TIMER RECORDING
Timer recording
is applicable
for TUNER
and VI DEO/AUX
(with
an external
timer) sources
only.
You can specify
the day of the week for timer recording,
Up to
five settings
can be stored.
To record from the radio using the timer, first preset the desired
station.

on the display,
and press the II
button within 6 seconds.
The program

Designate
the program
number
(1 to 5) by
pressing

button, and press the

To activate
timer
recording
every
day,
"EV"
should
be
displayed.
Designate
the hour of the timer-on
time
by
pressing

Repeat to designate the minute of the
timer-on time.

button to select a source,

To record from radio,
"TU" should
be displayed.
To record from equipment connected to the AUX jacks,
"AU" should
be displayed.
To record from equipment connected to the DIGITAL
IN

When "TU" is selected,
go to step 6.
When "AU" or "Di" is selected,
skip to step 7.
Tune in the station to be recorded.
Press the ++
or E>
button to select the band (FM or AM)
and press the 11 button.
Press then the <+
or XF
button
to select the preset number
of the desired
station,
and press
the 11 button,

To record a station not yet preset, select "PO." You can specify
the station
later in step 9.
Designate
the trav number
of the MD used for
reco~ding (1 to 5i by pressing
the +
or ~
button, and press the 11 button.
Note that you can designate
the tray number
equal
to the
program
number
specified
in step 2, or "Ml ."
Example:
If the program
number is 3, you can designate
either

Select the duration for the timer-activated
period
with the +
or EF
button, and press the 11
button.
The duration for the timer-activated
period can be set between
5 and 240 minutes
in 5-minute
steps.
Prepare the source.
To record from radio,
skip to step 10.
If you have selected
"PO at step 6, tune in the desired station.
To record from the connected equipment,
prepare
the
equipment
for recording.
Set the timer of the connected
equipment
to the time when
play should
start.
To record from equipment
connected
to the DIGITAL IN jack,
press
the AUX/D-l
N button
repeatedly
until
"D-IN"
is
displayed.
To record from equipment
connected
to the AUX jacks, press
the AUX/D-lN
button
repeatedly
until "AUX
is displayed.
