1. At "Rule Index" choose a number that has not yet been used to make a new entry.
2. At "Name" enter a made up name.
3. At "Start Port Number" and "End Port Number" enter the respective port numbers. If you only want to open one
port, enter it twice.
4. At "Local IP Address" enter the IP-address of the computer of which the port has to be opened.
5. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to activate the settings.
In some situations, or when using a game console, you can choose to let the computer or game console pass the firewall
entirely. This happens in the so called "demilitarized zone" ("DMZ"). This option is located in the main screen of the port
settings "Port Forwarding" under "Advanced". Be aware that now you miss the security the firewall of the router has to
offer. All ports are opened for the computer that you place in the DMZ. Only one computer can be placed in the DMZ.
Click "DMZ".
1. Click DMZ
2. Select the option "Enabled".
3. At "DMZ Host IP Address" enter the IP-address of the computer for which the ports have to be opened.
4. Click "Save".
Upgrading the modem firmware
To update the modem the so called 'firmware' has to be updated. This can be done by going to "System Tools" in the
menu and then "firmware".
