Proper installation of this kit required knowledge of the factory
recommended procedures for removal and installation of original
equipment components. We recommend that the factory shop manual
and any special tools needed to service your vehicle be on hand during
the installation. Installation of this kit without proper knowledge of the
factory recommended procedures may affect the performance of these
components and the safety of the vehicle
• Always wear eye protection when operating power tools

  • Page 3 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 2 | Remove the trailer connector socket by depressing the metal retaining clips on the back side and pressing the socket out through the front of the bumper. Disconnect the additional trailer connector socket using a pick tool to release the safety.
  • Page 4 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 4 | Use a 13mm socket to remove the rear bumper support bolts on each side toward the sides of the bumper. STEP 5 | Use a 18mm socket to remove the two mounting nuts (per side) that hold the OEM bumper in place.
  • Page 5 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 6 | With all mounting hardware removed, remove the rear bumper. STEP 7 | Using a 21mm socket, remove the bumper support upper bolts from the frame. 855-680-9595 NEED HELP?
  • Page 6 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 8 | Place the rear bumper on a soft surface to prevent any damage. Use a 7mm socket to remove the 2 bolts securing the blind spot sensor housing. Disconnect the blind spot monitoring sensors. TAKE NOTE AS TO THE ORIENTATION OF THE BLIND SPOT MONITORING SENSORS SINCE THEY WILL HAVE TO BE MOUNTED IN THE SAME AS FACTORY...
  • Page 7 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 9 | Use a 7mm socket to remove the bolt retaining the license plate light. STEP 10 | Remove the spare tire hoist cover by depressing the plastic tabs and pressing the cover through the front of the bumper.
  • Page 8 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 11 | Remove the 2 modules behind the license plate using pliers to squeeze the retaining clips and pressing the 2 modules out the front of the bumper. Remove both modules from the plastic bracket used to mount on the factory bumper.
  • Page 9 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 12 | Remove the parking sensors from the bumper bezels by spreading the bezel tabs apart and pulling up on the sensor. Use caution since these tabs can easily break. Keep the sensor plugged into the harness so that sensor do not get lost of mixed up.
  • Page 10 Remove the main wiring harness from the OEM bumper using a push pin removal tool. Layout all removed parts to be installed on you new DV8 offroad bumper. STEP 15 | The passenger side inner parking sensors wiring loom will need to be cut back to prevent the harness from pinching.
  • Page 11 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 16 | After freeing additional wiring length, wrap the exposed wiring harness and cover with the factory wiring loom. STEP 17 | With the new DV8 rear bumper on a work bench start by installing provided nut clips onto the bumper ( 2 per side).
  • Page 12 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 19 | Install the factory license plate lights using the provided M6 hardware an #4 Allen tool and 10mm wrench. STEP 20 | Feed the factory main wiring harness through the bumper mounting brackets. 855-680-9595 NEED HELP?
  • Page 13 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 21 | Install the parking sensor bezels in the same orientation they were removed by pressing the bezels in from the front side of the bumper. Install the parking sensors in the same position they were removed from by pressing the sensors in to the bezels until they are fully clicked in.
  • Page 14 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 23 | Install the blind spot monitoring sensors in the same orientation they were removed from factory bumper using the provided mounting bracket, an #4 Allen tool, 10mm wrench and the M6 hardware previously removed on step 21. STEP 24 | Remove the 90 degree cable guide from the blind spot monitor...
  • Page 15 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 25 | Reconnect the blind spot monitors. STEP 26 | Install the trailer hoist cover and trailer connector socket into the bumper by pressing each through the front of the bumper until each one is fully clicked in. 855-680-9595 NEED HELP?
  • Page 16 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 27 | Install the 2 modules previously removed from behind the license plate onto the DV8 rear bumper using the provided counter sunk M6 hardware, an #4 Allen and a 10mm wrench. Use the provided double sided tape to attach the second module.
  • Page 17 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 28 | If planning to run pod lights install them now using the hardware that comes with the lights. Use the zip tie tabs to secure any loose wiring. For this install we chose DV8 3-inch Elite Series LED Pod lights.
  • Page 18 INSTALLATION MANUAL STEP 29 | (Optional) If the vehicle is equipped with factory dual exhaust, DV8 provides exhaust tip mounting brackets. Place the provided exhaust tip mounting brackets on top of the factory exhaust tips. Use the factory mounting hardware and a 10mm socket or wrench to secure the mounting brackets to the factory exhaust tips.
