KI3600 Power Meter Service Instructions
TARGET AUDIENCE
1) Technicians using this manual should be appropriately qualified to inspect complex electrical device and
to determine basic operating errors. Familiarity with laser optical safety, anti-static and optical fiber
handling procedures is required, otherwise extensive damage can occur.
2) These instructions enable general testing of common problems and do not detail every possible problem
that may occur.
3) If the problem is found to be related to the optics or PCB component failure, then the unit has to be
returned to Kingfisher. Alternatively, contact our Service department for further instructions.
NOTE: If you require technical support, please contact us via email with as much information as possible.
For urgent support enquiries, our Service team would be happy to provide phone support where
appropriate.

RETURNING UNITS TO KINGFISHER
If an approved repairer has opened a unit that has to be returned to Kingfisher for any reason, the
repairer's warranty sticker must be in place or the warranty will be void.
Please fill out the Return Material Authorisation (RMA) Form available from our web site at
http://www.kingfisher.com.au/support.htm. RMA form contains all the details you will need to return the
instrument to Kingfisher.
WARRANTY PERIOD
Kingfisher International products are guaranteed against defective components and workmanship for a
period of three (3) years from the date of delivery, unless specifically stated in the original purchase
contract or agreement. This warranty excludes optical connectors or damage/malfunctioning due to
incorrect use.

No user action is required from the meter side. • To display just one wavelength at the time on the power meter, press [ λ] or [λ ].

For this test, use Light Source with CWDM laser, 1550nm and SM PC-APC patch lead.
