Elective Replacement Indicator (ERI)
ERI (or Recommended Replacement Time) is the point at which battery voltage has dropped to the lowest
capacity that will maintain adequate pulse generator operation for a nominal period of before end of life
(EOL).
The time between ERI and EOL for all devices is 6 months.
When the device reaches ERI, a number of indicators alert the clinician to this condition. For information on
these conditions, refer to the programmer's on‑screen help.
