1.4 Components

The design of the device includes an electronic unit and a probe, connected via Lemo-00 connectors. The
Lemo ports are located on the upper side of the instrument case; the transmitting lead is to be connected
to the left port, and the receiver lead is to be connected to the right port. A fisher type port is also located
at the top of the instrument and is used for connecting the device to the computer and can be used for
recharging the batteries. The control buttons are located on the front panel, which also has a graphic
numerical display. At the bottom rear of the device is the lid for the battery storage compartment in which
batteries are installed (Fig. 1.1).
Fig. 1.2 presents the units controls, as well as their functionality.
