5.1

Adjusting the height-adjustable support

The height-adjustable support is set as follows:
1. Measuring the outer diameter of the pipe in cm
2. Pull the spring bolt (A) upwards and turn it by 180° (Fig. 1)
3. Move rectangular tube (B) until the correct immersion depth is
set (see window)
4. Pull the spring bolt (A) upwards again and turn it by 180
5. Push the rectangular tube (B) back and forth until the spring bolt
engages in the corresponding hole.
The setting of the height-adjustable support must be
adjusted equally on both sides of the unit. Otherwise the
gripping material will hang at an angle during the lifting
process and there is a danger of the gripping material
slipping off. Danger of accident!
The height-adjustable support must always be set so
that the gripper jaws always grip the concrete pipe
below the centre! Otherwise there is a danger of
slipping!
