TA85 PV Test Leads
1 TA85 Product Information
1.1 INTRODUCTION
This product is designed for use with the FLIR CM276 clamp meter, with the purpose of
measuring the power output of solar panels (photovoltaic cells, or PV). This product is
rated up to 1500 V AC and 1500 V DC can only be used in environments where there is
not a direct connection to Mains.
For CAT III and CAT IV environments, use the test leads with the probe tip guard cap
firmly attached. Without the probe tip guard cap in place, the test leads can be used in
CAT II environments ONLY.
1.2 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
1. Test lead hand grips.
2. Finger guards.
3. Test leads without caps.
4. Protective caps.
5. Negative plug connects to
COM jack on meter.
6. Positive plug connects positive
jack on meter.
1.3 SAFETY
CAUTION
Ensure that the TA85 test leads are firmly connected to the CM276 input terminals and that the CM276
function switch is set to the PV position. See the CM276 User Manual for full details.
