Use
To take a passive breath sample:
1. Hold the device, which is ready to measure, into the air to be
analyzed without a mouthpiece.
2. Tap the
 If alcohol is detected, the message ALCOHOL is displayed
and the red LED lights up (see Figure 2 on the fold-out page:
H).
 If no alcohol is detected, the message NO ALCOHOL is
displayed and the green LED lights up (see Figure 2 on the

4.7.1 Taking a breath sample
CAUTION
Hygiene
► Do not touch the upper part of the funnel.
► Always maintain a distance of 2-3 cm from the object or subject to
be tested.
► Do not touch excretions, surfaces or a subject's skin with the
funnel.
► Avoid direct contact with substances to be tested.
► Replace contaminated funnels.
CAUTION
Incorrect measurement results
If multiple samples are taken over a short period of time, there is a risk
of condensation building up inside the funnel and entering the device.
► Replace the funnel if condensate or droplets are visible.
Before taking the breath sample, ensure that the correct measuring
mode has been selected.
