Preparations for use

1. Ensure that the rechargeable battery is charged or that the
batteries (for battery-operated devices) have been inserted.
2. Turn on the device by pressing the

Changing the measuring mode

By default, the device is set to measuring using the mouthpiece. The
measuring mode must be changed before measuring using the funnel.
The active measuring mode is indicated by a corresponding symbol
(device with mouthpiece or funnel) on the display.
To change the measuring mode:

The measuring mode remains set until it is changed in the menu or
the device is restarted. Restarting returns the device to the
mouthpiece measuring mode.
