BASIC OPERATIONS

PLAYBACK (Insertion of magazine)

. Press POWER switch to turn power ON.
. Press OPEN/EJECT button and open the door.
3. Insert a magazine, pushing it in until a click
sound is heard,
4. Press on the door's ''LOCK" sign to close the
door. When the door locks, a clicking sound can
be heard.
NOTE:
When the door is open do not place strong pressure or
heavy loads on the door, since damage may result.

Excessive force, heavy objects
1. Press OPEN/EJECT button and eject the
magazine.
2. Pull the magazine forward and remove it.
3. Close the door.
4. Press POWER switch to turn power off.

2. Press Play/Pause button (»/IB),
The [P } indicator will light, and playback will begin.
The indicators will dispiay the disc nurnber and track
number currently being played and the elapsed play-
back time.
3. Adjust VOLUME control on the receiver and tone
with the sound field processor.
When the last track on the sixth disc finishes playing,
the player enters stop mode. All operations stop and
the player stops with the number of the first track on
the first disc ''01'', showing on the indicator.
Caution:
Do not turn the power off during playback as this may
damage the disc.
TO START PLAYING BACK FROM A
DESIRED TRACK (DIRECT DISC AND
TRACK SEARCH OPERATION)
Operation example:
During stop mode, to play back the third track on the fifth disc:
1. Press DISC NUMBER button 5.
2. Press Manual/Track search button (p> + pp) 2
times.
© if only a disc number is selected, playback will be-
gin frorn the first track on the specified disc.
© If only a track number is selected, playback will be-
gin from the specified track on the disc for which
the player is in playback or pause mode.
@ When using the remote control unit to select
tracks, either track search buttons (Ht, PH) or
number buttons can be used. When using the re-
mote control unit's number buttons, be sure to set
the CD/TUNER select switch to CD first. (When us-
ing the number buttons to select tracks, press the
buttons corresponding to the tracks you wish to
hear. To select tracks higher than 10, first press
the > 10/11 button, then input the track number.
