USING THE FINE EDIT

COMPU
PGM
® The COMPU PGM function may not operate properly
with discs that include 24 or more tracks.
1. Set a magazine in the CD player.
@ When using the CD player, load discs into maga-
zine trays 1 and 2,
2. Load a tape for recording into Deck If.
Since recording always starts from the forward direc-
tion (»), be sure that the tape is loaded properly.
3. Set the DOLBY NR switch to the desired position.
4. Select the REV MODE switch.
== : For recording on only one side of a tape.
=> or c2 : For consecutive recording on both sides
of 2 tape.
5. Press the EDIT button of the CD player.
6. Within 3 seconds, use the Manual/Track search
buttons ( td <4, >> p>!) to designate the tape's
recording time.

Tape recording time will change in the above sequence
each time the button is pressed.
© If you wish to designate the tape length in minute
intervais, set the remote control unit's CD/TUNER
select switch to the CD position, then use the num-
ber buttons to specify the tape length (from 1 to
99),
When specifying 1 to 9, first press 10/0/10. For
example, to specify 7 minutes, press 10/0/10, 7.
® The tape length is automatically specified, three
seconds after pressing the EDIT button in step 5.
If you wish to perform the COMPU
PGM function
again, press the stop button (M™@), then return to
step 5.
7. Press the EDIT button of the CD player.
Tracks
will be programmed
so that aff tracks are
recorded on sides A and B, and the result will be dis-
played.
8. Press the ASES button (FADE/FINE).
9. To stop the A.S.E.S.operation, press the stop
button (™) of Deck If.
NOTE:
A.S.E.S. may stop or operate incorrectly when
there is
@ song change near the end of the tape. In such cases
use manual operations to record the remaining songs.
Specifying the tape length automatically
@ The CD player programs the disc's tracks, and indi-
cates the minimum
length of cassette tape required
to record all the tracks.
© This function does not operate in the CD player for
compact discs containing more than 24 tracks.
This function also does not operate on discs which
contain a single track greater than 45 minutes.
