Basic operation
Tapes may be played back in TAPE | or TAPE Tl but not in
both decks at the same time,
Press EJECT A and load a recorded tape,
then push in the cassette door until it
locks,
For relay playback load tapes into TAPE land TAPE Il. Relay
playback is repeated as follows (32 sides maximum):

lf there is a tape in only one deck, that deck continuously
plays both sides of the tape (16 sides maximum).
Set DOLBY NR to the same position used
for recording.
Tapes recorded using Dolby noise reduction should always
be played back with the noise reduction system on.
Select the TAPE I or TAPE II which is
desired to play back with the TAPE 1/2
selector button.
When the tape is loaded, loaded deck will be selected.
4 Press >» or ~ to start playback.
>: Forward playback
~«: Reverse playback
To stop playback, press STOP m.
To fast forward or rewind, press >> or <<.
This deck automatically plays both sides of a tape.
NOTE:
To operate TAPE | with the remote control unit, press the
desired deck operation button (except for the Rec pause
@ 11 button) while pressing SHIFT TAPE 1.
NOTES:
Do not press EJECT A while the tape is running.
Confirm that the deck has stopped before pressing
EJECT A.
Auto Stop Mechanism
This mechanism automatically stops the tape when the end of
the tape is reached during fast forward or reverse (~~< or >>}.
