SOUND FIELD CONTROL
7. While listening to the test tone, use the CENTER
LEVEL or REAR LEVEL adjustment knob to set
the volume of each speaker to the same level.
Use the mode switch button, to select the center lev-
el or rear level and then adjust the level to the desired
setting.
Each time the mode switch button is pressed, one of
the settings will be selected in the following order.
rc Center level (CENTER) -> Rear level (REAR) =]
8. Press the TEST TONE button on the remote con-
trol to turn the test tone off.
NOTE
Test tone precautions:
@ When the DOLBY 3CH LOGIC is set, sound is not
output from the surround speakers.
®
When the CENTER MODE is set to PHANTOM,
sound is not output from the center speaker.

TUNING THE SOUND QUALITY

® The desired sound quality pattern can be created by
adjusting the settings.
*® Sounds are divided into seven frequency regions and
the adjustments can be performed in each range as
desired.
© The following seven regions can be adjusted:
60Hz, 150Hz, 400Hz,
1kHz, 2.4kHz, 6kKHz, 15kHz.
1. The GEQ indicator lights when
the EFFECT/
DIRECT button is used.
This operation can be performed by the remote con-
trol GEQ button,
2. Use the equalizer left and equalizer right buttons
to select the adjusted sound range.
The fiashing will move to the side. a
3. Use the SOUND JOG dial to adjust the sound
quality.
4. To adjust the other frequency ranges,
repeat
steps 2 and 3 as required.
NOTE
The sound field contro! cannot be adjusted when DOL-
BY PRO LOGIC, 3ch LOGIC is set ON or when VOCAL
CANCEL is set.
